1980 TR7 For Sale

The TR7 below was once owned by a former member of TRiumphs Around the Chesapeake, Rick Landis, who unexpectantly passed away last fall. The car is located in central Maryland and is being sold by Rick's father.

As can be seen from the photos below, this car is an outstanding example with less than 40,000 actual miles. The body is straight, never hit. The paint is original and very, very nice with the exception of one spot on the drivers side in front of the wheel. The car has a 5-speed gearbox, manual choke, but does not have A/C (see below). The VIN number is TCT1143T8UCF.

The top is in very good condition, no holes and the panels are clear. As can be seen, the interior is outstanding and very clean. The carpet is slightly faded. The car runs great and was used regularly by Rick. Mr. Landis continues to drive the car, weekly.

There is also a collection of parts that will go along to the purchaser of the car. Items will include such things as spare headlight pods with motors, instrument panels with all gauges, alternator, fog lamps, new clutch m/c, and various sundry pieces Rick stripped from a donor car.

All monies collected from the sale of these items will be awarded in a college scholorship fund created in Rick Landis' name.

The asking price for this outstanding example is $6,500.

In addition to the car, there are several other items that are offered separately and can be seen below.

Small rust patch on the driver's front. All tires are in great shape.
The photo's below are ofitems that will be sold separately from the car.

Rick started collecting parts to add A/C to this car. The heater-AC box, fan and condensor coils are shown.

Also included but not shown, is the original York compressor and it's mounting bracket. The asking price for these A/C components and the compressor is $250.

Also offered is a set of 5 wheels with tires. The metal is in great condition with no visible scratches on the exposed surface. The tires are about 4 years old and are like new. They are oversized, 205/60-13's

Rick started to refinish the wheels, applying a paint remover, but he never finished. This wheel has the worst finish but a clean-up and painting will make them look like new. The asking price for the set of 5 wheels and tires is $350.

Although the car doesn't need it, Rick bought a NOS rear bumper cover. Price these in VickyBrit; They are expensive but this cover is available for $250.

Five original wheel covers with new Triumph center stickers. Four are in new condition. $100.
